**DirectChat - Quick Messages**
Go Apps built the DirectChat - Quick Messages app as a Free app (with ads). This Service is provided by Go Apps at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.
If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

## Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request is stored locally on your device and is not collected by us in any way, except as described below.
The app collects and stores the following data **locally on your device**:
- **Phone Numbers** - Numbers you enter to initiate WhatsApp conversations, saved favorites, and scheduled message recipients.
- **Contact Names** - Names you assign to your favorite contacts and contact cards.
- **Message Content** - Text content of messages you schedule for later sending via WhatsApp.
- **Contact Card Details** - Name, phone number, email, and company information you provide to generate QR codes and contact cards.
- **Usage Analytics** - Timestamps, phone numbers contacted, country codes, and WhatsApp type used, to provide you with personal usage statistics within the app.
- **App Preferences** - Settings such as dark mode, default country code, language, notification preferences, and other feature toggles.
- **Media Files** - WhatsApp Status images and videos accessed through the Status Saver feature are saved to your device's gallery.
- **Camera Captures** - Photos taken using the DP Maker or Sticker Creator features are stored locally on your device.
**Device Contacts:** If you use the Contact Export feature, the app requests permission to read your device's contacts (names, phone numbers, email addresses) temporarily in memory for export as CSV or vCard files. Contacts are not permanently stored by the app.
**Device Information:** On first launch, the app detects your device's locale to set a default country code. This preference is stored locally. No other device information is collected.
All of the above data is stored exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to any server operated by us.
The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.

## Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app, we do not collect any log data or error reports. The app does not use Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, or any other crash reporting or analytics services. All app usage data remains on your device.
## Third-Party Services
### Google AdMob
The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect certain information automatically, including:
- Device identifiers (advertising ID)
- IP address
- Device information (model, operating system)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device's ad settings under Settings > Google > Ads.
When you initiate a conversation through the app, your entered phone number is passed to WhatsApp via a standard deep link. The app does not send any other data (messages, contact names, analytics, or preferences) to WhatsApp. Your interaction with WhatsApp is governed by [WhatsApp's Privacy Policy](https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy).
### No Other Third-Party Services
The app does not use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Facebook SDK, or any other third-party analytics, tracking, or telemetry services. Apart from Google AdMob, no data is shared with any third party.
## Cookies
The Service does not use cookies explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries (such as AdMob) that may use cookies to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.
## Data Storage and Security
All personal data collected by the app is stored **exclusively on your device** in:
- A local Room database in the app's private storage directory
- Android DataStore preferences in the app's private storage directory
- Cache files for temporary exports (automatically cleaned up)
We do not operate any servers or cloud infrastructure. Your data is never uploaded, synced, or backed up to any remote server by us.
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
## Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except:
- **Google AdMob** receives standard advertising data as described above.
- **WhatsApp** receives phone numbers only when you explicitly initiate a conversation.
- **User-Initiated Sharing** - When you use share or export features (sharing a QR code, exporting contacts, exporting analytics), data is shared through Android's standard share mechanism to the app or service you choose.
## Your Rights and Controls
You have full control over your data within the app:
**View Your Data:**
- Recent chat history in the Direct Chat screen
- Favorite contacts in the Favorites screen
- Scheduled messages in the Scheduler screen
- Usage analytics in the Analytics screen
**Delete Your Data:**
- Recent Chats: Clear from the Direct Chat screen
- Favorite Contacts: Delete individually or in bulk from the Favorites screen
- Scheduled Messages: Delete individually from the Scheduler screen
- Chat Analytics: Clear all analytics data from Settings
- Contact Cards: Delete from the QR Code screen
- Message Templates: Delete from the Templates screen
- All Data: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data
**Export Your Data:**
- Export chat analytics as a CSV file
- Export contacts as CSV or vCard (VCF) files
**Control Permissions:**
You can revoke any permission (Contacts, Camera, Storage) at any time through your device's Settings > Apps > DirectChat > Permissions.

## Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take the necessary actions.
## Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
